Yesterday, I have requested koodo to transfer my fongo (free paid) number to koodo. still i can't receive any calls. i turned it off and on but didn't matter.in self serve it still says transferring number is in process!!! they sent a message that they have difficulties with that. I called them again and said wait until wednesday. Should I submit a request to fongo myself? (https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/articles/212437466-Transfer-my-Fongo-number-to-another-carrier) what does "mobile customer" mean in that link?

just another question:
in self serve in "view usage" there are "koodo mobile" and "airtime". what is the difference between these two?
thanks.

Porting from a VoIP supplier can take a few days. Brent's experience describes a 3 day timeline.

The only reason to submit a request to fongo is if you did not know your account number, as it says in the link.

It takes three days from personal experience. Please download the fongo app and you will get incomming calls and text on the app. It is a little frustrating but works. Juat be careful of data usage. How long have you had the fongo number for?

Is account number the same as phone number that I got from Fongo? if not, in fact I don't know that and also no one requested that so far.

You will have to contact Fongo to answer this question for you.

When you choose a "free" service, think twice about the budget they are consecrating to customer service. 3 days would be about normal for a port from them.

I prefer to spend a few bucks a month with CallCentric and get excellent tech service over the web.

The phone number is not the account number. You need to contact their support and get them to email you the information. They will send you the information. I believe it can take 24 hours. If the account was opened under 30 days they charge $20 to port the number out. Check this https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/ar...

Agreed with Brent. Support is by their online portal only, and they will provide the account number. Either wait 30 days to port the number (you can forward calls for free in the meantime), or pay their $20 port out fee and port out sooner. While you forward the calls to your temporary Koodo number, you can receive texts for free through the Fongo app.

Porting should take 2-5 days assuming you provided accurate information in the port request to Koodo.

of course more than 30 days elapsed of my number and also 1 week of porting request.
