How can I transfer one of my phones/tab to a friends account who already has Koodo service but would like a second phone for a family member?

This is called a transfer of responsibility. The line needs to be active for at least 90 days for it to be transferred. Your friend can't be on spending limit program in this case since it will be adding a 2nd line to their account.

Also, the phone # transfers with it as well, so if you want to keep it to yourself, this won't work for you.

1. Call Koodo at 1-866-995-6636 and tell them you want to transfer the account to your friend and provide their name to the rep. Once that's done, they'll authorize your friend to take it over by noting the account.

2. Either within 5 business days or during the same call (recommended), your friend can now request it be transferred to them. Your friend will need 2 pieces of government identification such as driver's license, Canadian credit card, passport, residency, citizenship, or SIN.

3. Once they do that on their end, then it's done! They'll have the line added to their existing account and it won't be under you anymore.
