Transfer cell number to Koodo from another company.

I am currently with another cell phone company on a month to month base. I would like to transfer my current cell phone number to Koodo. Should I do the transfer first prior to cancelling the service with other company or vise versa? Is there any charge of transferring?

Hi Yi,

Koodo will do the change for you at the kiosk, once the change is complete your service with your old provider will be cancelled. Do not close your account first, or else you will loose your number.

I would like to use the Koodo pre-paid plan and keep my current cell number with other phone company. Am I able to active my SIM card at kiosk and transfer the number right there?

No, you would buy the SIM card at the kiosk and then go online for the activation process. One of the steps is to transfer your number, so it will be done during that step.
