Recently bought a trail camera with mms capabilities. Also purchased a prepaid sim card, activated it and searched the faq's an the community for Apn settings to program the settings into my camera. however it seems that the camera cannot connect to the mobile network. I've searched youtbe also, on the proper setup, they all seem to work but I live in  different country than all these videos so the settings are different.

Did you also check for compatible frequencies? A lot of these types of radio equipped devices tend not to be compatible with Canadian networks.

Here's another thread that's talking about what you possibly have and that it may only work with Telus for some reason. https://community.koodomobile.com/koo...

the automatic apn settings on the camera list telus in canada, however there is a manual apn setting also. Here you can set all of the apn inofrmation manually and as per the provider.

so this tells me that my camera is not compatible? Im not a communications tech, so I really have no idea what these frequencies mean.
the information provided for my camera says it is 2G/GSM.

Koodo does not have a 2g network no unfortunately not. I'm not sure if Rogers still has theirs up and running or not but it's old outdated technology so they may have shut theirs down as well.

Rogers operates the only 2G network in Canada.

I thought that might be the case. The only carrier in Canada that uses 2G is Rogers / Fido and anyone else that uses their network. Unfortunately you're out of luck unless you get a plan with them. Longer term it's a question of when before 2G networks get shut down as well so keep that in mind for future purchases that only have 2G
