Trade-in Value

There might have been a suggestion before. I couldn't find one, though.

Since the trade-in program is still available, why not let the customers find out the value of their old phone through the website?

There would be a selection process with categories similar to the way they find out if an unlocked phone is compatible.

They would pick the brand name of the phone. From that they pick the model within that brand. The next one could be the condition of the phone with a rating scale. 1 meaning poor condition (dents, scratches, cracks, etc.) and 10 would be no damage. Also, there wouls be one more about the age of the phone.

When that is completed, the system will determine the value of the phone based on those stats and possibly the demand for that kind of phone. Don't come down on me too hard for this as I did just make up the scale as I was typing the suggestion. :P

If it's a 3/4 years old phone, I doubt Koodo store rep will offer more than $50, if you think it 'll worth more better to sell it on Ebay/Kijjiji.

Very true. I just get calls where people ask me so they don't have to go into a store or whatever. I hate not being able to give an answer that doesn't involve a trip to the store. There are those out there that don't trust ebay and kijiji. This would give them at least an idea of what to expect. If they don't like the trade i value they see, they will most likely look at other avenues. I just figured I'd put the idea out there and see what happens. I won't be crying over it lol

Because the trade in prices are managed by a third party, it would be difficult for Koodo to maintain this information for every possible phone as Koodo will obviously take in non smartphones as well.

Apart from this, the trade in values change on a regular basis. Call your local Koodo location! We often offer trade in promos for you to take advantage of also!

I just saw this. It's a great idea. Maybe Koodo will re-consider
