Topped up account in time but online says "base plan expired"

I added enough money to my account (used a voucher) to keep my $15 base plan active. However, Im looking at my account overview and it says in red letters: "Base Plan Renewal Date: Expired". Why is this? Does this mean my data and talk wont work because of this error (not my error -- dont understand why this shows up).

The base plan expiry is the 30th of each month and I added a $15 voucher yesterday, THU MAY 29/14 around noon (which was confirmed via an sms I received from Koodo).

Any help would be greatly appreciated since this has happened each month since Ive been using Koodo prepaid (3mos now?)

Thanks, in advance...

Did you set up your prepaid account for auto renewal of your base plan?
Give Customer service a call tomorrow and they'll be able to straighten it out for you.

Hey Paul -- I dont have auto renewal for my base plan, I just use the vouchers. (Wish they would allow PayPal or auto withdrawal from bank accounts instead of only credit cards. Hence why I use the vouchers).

JazsyPawz, get yourself a prepaid Visa! It works awfully good for that kinda stuff, and no risk of going into debt as it's prepaid :) Works perfect for me and allows auto renewals ;)

JazsyPawz, prepaid service at Koodo doesn't renew at a fixed date. Every month, the date is different as it renews every 30 days, so sometimes it's on the 2nd of the month, then some months later it's shifted to the 4th, and so on. This may explain why your base plan has expired since you assumed it was on a fixed date.

Hope it helps!

David -- I get an sms three days, then two days, then the day before reminding me my base plan will expire. Thats a good thing since I *would* assume its on a fixed date! As per usual, I got my three day warning sms and went out and bought my voucher and dialed it in like before via *611. The voice message confirmed it was a valid voucher and I was topped up and I also immediately got an sms confirming the same. Then I check my laptop or tablet and it says the balance is $XX.XX and "plan expired. *puzzled*

The procedure with SMS's appears normal, same as mine. I'm as puzzled as you are about the plan not renewing itself.... Give Koodo a quick call, they'll better be able to help out :)

Ok, so I just logged in to the Koodo prepaid site and this is what it says under OVERVIEW:

Balance: $0.00
Base Plan Renewal Date: Jun 29, 2014

So, I guess it takes it til morning or the next day to show up properly online? Weird.

This is a screen cap of what it said last month:

And this is a capture of what it says right now:

Ah yes, that means you are good to go :) It just took a little time to show up, obviously... Glad it's all sorted!

Yup! All's good!

And isn't it great to see a 0$ balance! ;) Never in the negative with prepaid :D
