Toll-free #'s count as minutes on your phone. Remember that toll-free only means no long-distance charges, it has nothing to do with cell phone minutes. Toll-free numbers existed before cell phones.

KOODO, please ensure your customer service reps know what they're talking about. I have asked about toll-free numbers repeatedly, and I've gotten diff. answers each time. But, from the complaints and questions I've read, I'm sure the above answer is correct.

Yes the above answer is correct.

Are you speaking to reps on the phone or in the store?  If in the store which one is giving the misinformed answer?

Hey Julie! You're right, toll-free numbers do take daytime miuntes and that information is in our help systems.  Was this a recent interaction? Over the phone or at the store? Keep us posted! - Melissa

FYI, if using your phone outside of the country, toll-free numbers are chargeable as roaming. Please refer to roaming for PPU rates or roaming packages.
