There's no way to turn on data for apps I just downloaded (got this phone and plan today).

Just got the IPhone 6. My plan is 2 gigs of data and calling and messaging. There is no data option for stuff I just downloaded. But it's there for predownloaded stuff like the App Store and settings. Help?

I want to start using data for other stuff.. but there's no option to turn it on. For example playing games using data but I can't do that.

What exactly do you want? You don't need to switch on data for individual apps, that's why we are puzzled what you mean....

Data is data, it doesn't matter whether you download a file or play a game online. If your games won't go online, there is another issue causing it.

Other than that, we're not really sure what you mean.

Just realized you have an iPhone. I would go into your settings and see if you have any restrictions set (in app purchases disabled, etc).

Damn people.. how hard is it to understand that I'm saying I downloaded a couple apps. There should be a toggle to turn cellular data on for said apps when I don't have wifi.. there isn't.

No need to get nasty. Reboot your phone and check the list again.

Also, it should default to on for each new app, unless you go in an turn it off.

the only stuff showing to use data for are the stuff that were already on the phone when I got it.

The list on my iPhone includes many or all of the additional Apps I have downloaded and used.

Have you tried the suggested reboot?
Have you tried using the games with Wi-Fi turned off, or have you just downloaded, but not run them?

Tap it


At the bottom is a switch for cellular data.
