Iphone on the medium tab would be your best option. Dependning on the phone of your choosing, you'd get a $300 off the cost of the phone. The remaining cost would have to be payed out of pocket. You can choose whatever price plan you wish and there would be a $5 tab charge applied to your monthly bill to ensure your tab is paid within 2 years.

First Off, iPhones on Koodo are the Best, great coverage and data speeds are what work here!!!

Second, I refer you to this link > http://goo.gl/8sYH1l

BestBuy allows you to place the iPhone 4S on a Tab Medium (300rebate on the phone)

From there you can choose any canada wide plans, plus adding a 5$ medium tab charge for 24 months. I have layer out 2 plans that I think would be killer with the iPhone!!!

First > 42$ (Plan) + 5$ Tab Charge
500 Minutes, 500MB, Unlimited Texting, Voicemail, Call Display
*This plan is designated for more light data user, as I find the iPhone uses less data then android*

Second > 52$ (Plan) + 5$ Tab Charge
UNLIMITED Calling, 1GB of Data, All features mention above!
*Now this plan is for someone who uses lots of data but will never have to worry about phone or texting usage*

Hope this Helps
Hayden

You can choose any plan you like on a Medium tab including the $29 one. Keep in mind Additional data is $5/50 MB in the $29 plan.

If you plan on using your phone for a while (tab takes 2 years or less to pay off), I wouldn't pick the 4s, it's simply not in its prime anymore. I'm not a huge fan of the plastic on the 5c either since it has replaced the 5. So if it is within budget I think the 5s is a good choice since 64 bit apps will come in the future. Or there is always the option of an android phone such as the nexus 5, which i recommend you get from the google playstore or tab M. But if you are a very minimal user, ignore my suggestion of the 5s.
I agree with Hayden and Rocky about tab M, trust me tab L is not where the value is at. :)

Keep in mind to get the plan that you want If you go with an iPhone 5 with a medium tab you would have to pay $325 for the 5c and $425 for the 5s out of pocket.

Being a student you might find that a little expensive. If you go with tab large then you pay less for the phones but you could only choose from the tab large plans that start at $65/month.

If you're a student on a budget then don't bother with iPhones. They're really expensive for the basic functions you need and especially if you don't intend on using data. I think either the S III or Nexus 4 on Medium Tab will suit you fine.
