The sound quality on my Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) that I JUST got today has very poor sound quality during phone calls! :(

I JUST got my Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) in the mail today from Koodo. And all the phone calls I've made, I can barely hear the person on the other line (it's basically very quiet). I tried speaker, same thing. I tried to adjust the sound on settings, no luck either! Updated the software, nada! When I listen to music, it sounds perfect, as well as the ring tones. I don't know what to do. I can only hear the other line when I put the headphones in. 

Please help!!!

Sounds like it's a call quality issue.

Try rebooting your device.

Might be defective. Since you just got the phone you can return it and get a new one.

I had tried that as well, it worked for a good 10 mins. Now it's not working again.

^^^ I had actually swapped the Sim card into my old Samsung Galaxy S7 phone and tried it on there, and it works perfectly fine. Then I reswitched it to my new Samsung Galaxy A8, and it worked for a good 10 mins. Then it stopped working after that....

Ok then Allan was right. The phone is defective.
