My understanding is US monthly roaming packs are over? Last year I could use my Canadian package for $75.00 a month more for the US Now the new package is $100 monthly if used daily ?
Why is this better for customers?

It's not better for customers, it's better for Koodo :)

That said, the new plans are slightly easier to understand, I think. With EasyRoam you pay a fixed price per day IF you use your phone abroad, plus the regular data & minutes of your own plan. The maximum you can be charged is $100 per billing period.

I suggest if you need to use roaming daily, you should get yourself a local SIM and benefit from the much lower prices that has to offer!

Yes a hundred dollars per billing plus the cost of your regular monthly plan.  Perhaps a sim card in the States is in the future.

I can see an advantage for the people who want to use it a lot for like a weekend or so.

You couldnt use your monthly plan for $75.  You got a new limited roaming plan last year.  With Easy Roam, you get to use your full Canadian plan

Yes I did get to use my full monthly plan plus an added $75 for full use for the whole month in the US.  For long term 6 months it was worth it.  Now it would be$100.00 for a full month in the us plus what my home plan costs.  No????`  I think its definitely a benefit for occasional small trips to US

Koodo didnt have a 'roam like home' plan for you to use your full monthly plan while abroad last year.  This is a new feature for Koodo

Anyone needing US roaming over an intermediate period of time should look at Tracfone.com for prepaid minutes and data that can be used on consecutive days or spotted over a longer period. Unlike most carriers, Tracfone minutes can be used to call Canada without any surcharge.

Hi there Rosey!

For an extended period of time you could get a recurring option for the USA...

This option is available only through Customer Service.

Now, You could also think about the potential savings by using EASY ROAM since you will only be charged if you use your cell...
