First Off - I think out of all the providers, Koodo has the best name!

I wanted to give praise to both the company and the future I have ahead of me.

I know for sure that Koodo is in my future. I plan to push for a carrer in the wireless industrie and know for sure that Koodo is my top choice.

So I ask this question to the Mobile Masters, Employee's or people familiar with the company.

What experience, job requirements or qualifications do I need to make a future into Koodo?

Being only 15 and currently working! I would like to know how to make myself the ideal candidate for sales positions/corporate sales.

I look forward to the responses and appreciate everything written!

Koodo is the easiest carrier to sell out of the big 3 and their subsidaries, to be honest with you. I do all 6 working for Mobile Shop but our best seller is still Koodo.

Experience is a plus but not 100% necessary. I came in fresh. I've only been doing this 2 years and it feels like ages already. What's arguably more important is a willingness to learn/retain information, and a friendly, helpful personality. Anyone can learn about phone specs off gsmarena and memorizing plans from the websites or emails your reps will send out. It's how you put everything together and how you present it to someone that makes the difference and sometimes you'll have to think outside the box a bit to present the right solution.

Requirements are you would need to be the age of majority (usually 18) to work for Koodo since you're dealing with client's personal information and you need to sign off on the service agreements - a legal document.

Thanks Jonathan, I realize that when dealing with a customer, you want to be knowledgeable, but also keeping in mind what the customer wants. If they want a reduced phone and a reasonable plan, dont offer a 700$ iPhone.

Im hoping to maintain a customer service job + a sales representative in retail.

Thanks for your reply, it means the world to me!

Make sure you know what you don't know and know how to ask for help when you're not sure.

And make sure you know that it's okay not to know everything.

Here is my piece of advice :) You're only 15, it's great that you think about the future and have a career in mind.

However, to tell you the truth, I wouldn't be getting too hung up on one particular field, and in your case even one particular company. The world is so huge, there is so much to see, do and experience and you're too young to be confining yourself at your age already.

Study, go to college, university if your brain & funds allow it, focus on the big picture instead of one tiny corner of the Internet.

With LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS!!! of respect to store or call center employees, to me that is hardly worth hanging up my whole future on, especially at the age of 15.

Do with that information what you wish :) Just something to think about :D

There was a person I worked with in tech support for Koodo and she got a job at the local kiosk. By the looks of things, she LOVES it! For Koodo, I found that enthusiasm and certain levels of humour do well for reps.

I love working for Koodo :)
To be successful in the wireless industry, you just need to be willing to help!
Koodo is driven by the Customer Experience and making sure that each customer gets the help they need the first time :)
Friendly, open minded, helpful, considerate, and playful! A rep who has a great and easy going sense of humor is the best! I love calling into Channel care and getting a rep who is just happy and humorous :D
But there are also so many different fields within this industry! From working at a Koodo Shop location, to being a call center rep, to compliance - etc!!
