Okay, I have updated the operating software on my LG P970g. I can not for the life of me find the settings for my text messaging that will eliminate/remove the auto correct/prescriptive text function. How am I going to text words that don't exists without removing this function. I have looked many places for the answer.

Should be under settings->language and input->whichever keyboard you're using. You should find an option for autocorrect. I have a samsung s2x and an asus tablet, both running jelly bean, and that's where it is on both.

Hey Jay, you can also add words to the phone’s dictionary. To do this, after you type in the word, you can tap on the word selection(just above the text box) and tap on it twice to add it. I have done this in the past on my phone for words that the phone does not recognize.
