Texting to another koodo customer, phone says not delivered, but it does in fact deliver.

I can send and receive texts just fine, however... When I text some family members who also have koodo service, the text will supposedly fail to deliver, but it does actually get delivered. This also happens when other people text me, I get the text... but their phones say that the message failed to deliver. Is this a configuration issue or something?

Shouldn't be. You could always try resetting network settings, making sure you don't have imessage enabled on any other device, including macs, or double checking your APN settings.

This is SMS messaging though, why would iMessage be involved in this?

@Theodore: If you are using iMessage make sure the option "Send as SMS" is ON. (Settings --> Messages --> Send as SMS (to ON).

I would try to reset the network settings on the iPhone and see if it helps (general --> Reset --> Reset Network Settings)

I don't have a mac in any case. And just this iPhone. not a dealbreaker I suppose but I don't want people to think I gave them a wrong number when it inevitably shows up as "failed to deliver" on their phone.

It could be other people phone issues. What phone are they using?

Android phone of some kind and an iPhone. Non-koodo customer also has this undelivered issue when texting me.

What steps have you tried? I would try to reset the network settings in your iPhone and see if it helps.
