Hi Marion,

Do you receive other people's texts? Can your daughter text other people without problems? Can you send texts yourself? What phone do you have? :)

My daughter and I both have iphones. I don't get her texts unless my "cellular data" is on when she sends me and "iMessage".

Hi Ingrid,

The reason for that is because iMessage uses data. You can always turn the feature off in the settings so that you can just send text messages. Otherwise you can use WiFi which will keep you from using data in your plan if you only have a small amount of data available.

Hope that helps answer your question :)
