Hi Mike,

You will need to download a third-party in order to read the text messages from your iPhone backup.

Have a read here: https://discussions.apple.com/message...

you may be able to see it when you backup your phone through itunes, but not really sure about this.

Most backup sites (itunes, kies, etc...) allow you to backup your phone (including text messages) to your computer, but this would mean that you would have to back it up every night (or whenever you got incoming messages).

Another way that you may be able to do it is to send a message to your email - but this would have to be done for EVERY message, and it would show the person sending it as you.

Koodo can not send duplicate messages to phone and laptop

Here's a small tutorial I've been doing to transfer my messages from a phone to another. There is a particulary file called sms.db which contains all the message on your phone in every backup you make with iTunes. To open the file after you've exported to your desktop use this
