I got a text saying i was in the states, but i am in Alberta. I was just wondering if this has been corrected or if i am being charged.

Are you close to the US Border? There's a chance your phone connected to one of the US Cell towers if you are.

If you notice any extra charges on your next bill, give customer service a call :) They'll be able to reverse the charges.

What kind of phone do you have? There's usually an option to turn roaming off in your settings. With that feature turned off, you wont connect to those towers :)

This is the option Matthew mentioned. :)

Settings>Mobile Network Settings>Network Operators

Now turn off automatic and manually search and select Koodo (this will take a few mins).

Now your phone is set to only connect to koodo and will not accidentally roam on a US network

Thank you, Daniel! I couldn't remember where the option was :)
