Text not coming through

I moved this number from Public Mobile, hoping my issues would end. Unfortunately, they haven't.

I was having issues with receiving texts from multiple numbers when I was with Public Mobile, now I seem to only be missing texts from one number with Koodo.

These texts don't come through ONLY when I don't initiate the conversation. If I initiate the conversation, there's no issues receiving messages from the phone number I'm messaging.

There's no blocks set in place in the phones settings, no forwarding of any sorts...

Phone is an S6 Edge Plus.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Does the person who you cant receive texts from use an iphone? Maybe the link below applies to your situation.

They're using an Android on Rogers actually.

We can call eachother, we can even send txts back and forth when I initiate the conversation. But say, he sends me a text out of the blue, I just don't receive it. It's extremely odd and very frustrating.

Have you tried a different texting app? Either of you?

No we haven't. But 0 other issues, I'm the only one who experienced tis type of problem.

I've never heard of this type of txting issues like this for so long. I personally just think it's some weird network connectivity issue where his number won't connect with me. Unless I begin the conversation, which is even more weird.

Maybe your friend is being unintentionally blocked by the S6 spam list when they try and send you a text. See if the link below helps.

If mats suggestion doesn't work I suggest you and your friend both contact your carrier and speak with tech support and see if they can find an issue

Mats - I've checked, about 30 times and it is not listed at all, anywhere. Performed a hard reset a couple weeks ago, just as I was switching from Public Mobile to Koodo.

Dennis- I did reach out to Public Mobile, but they're useless when it comes to tech support. "It's a hardware issue" "restart your phone" " check the block list and forwarding list" then they ignore you.

I'll give Koodo a call on Monday!

Thanks guys!

Make sure you are asking to speak to koodo tech support and not just a Customer service rep

Was hoping you would find his previous messages hiding out in Messages Settings > Spam Filter > Spam messages to view the content of the spam folder.

Very frustrating for you. Hope you get it sorted out.
