Text from Koodo to honor my plan

I joined Koodo last summer and they had a great summer offer and then a few months after FIDO offered a 4 gig $40 something dollar plan. I called koodo to see if they can match this and they offered me a better plan so i stayed with koodo. 

I made sure everything was right and asked all the questions, I even asked the rep if I ever wanted to go on a tab can I still keep my plan. The rep said yes and as long as I go on a large tab.  I also asked her to send this to me in writing and she sent me the text. I have this text still.

its March 2017 and I went to the store to get a new phone on a large tab and told them about it but their system was unable to by pass it. I called koodo instead and the rep there said there is no such thing.

Now my question is, has anyone ever had a koodo rep personally text them? I'm not making this up but I feel like koodo reps are making me feel like im making this up.

Having a Koodo rep text them is not something I had heard of (email yes, but a personal text with their own phone number no).

If this was the case, you will need to contact Koodo to discuss in more details.  You can reach them by sending a private message via Facebook or twitter

Thank dennis but they didn't text me from their personal number. The text is from Koodo, it's the same number I believe that I get from Koodo all the time when I get a promo text or a data warning text.

I agree with Dennis that it seems unusual, and of course an employee could only speak to policy in place at the time you conversed. It may have since changed since. Out of curiosity, what plan do you currently have?

And what plan do you have?
If you want to buy a phone with Tab Large, then you have to pick a plan from Tab Large plan.
If you wan to buy a phone with Tab M, then your plan have to be minimum $40 now.

You can keep your plan when you upgrade your phone.  
But depends on what Tab size you want to use, then you need to change your plan.

That'd be tricky, because any offer would have a deadline. I couldn't expect them to honour an offer indefinitely, especially given that Fido no longer offers the plan if I'm not mistaken...
