Telus Note 2 on Koodo Network

I am looking into getting the Samsung Telus branded Galaxy Note 2 to be used on Koodo network. I read there for the Telus Galaxy Note and S3, there were APN issues which does not save the Koodo APN and it reverts back to Telus. I had a Telus S3 and it did not save the Koodo APN. Does anyone here know or using a Telus Note 2 if the Galaxy Note 2 have this same issue? I do not want to root the phone so don't suggest that.
Thanks.

I highly suggest you don't get a carrier branded Note 2 if your going to buy it outright. You should do what me & another forum frequent koodo member did & get the unlocked international model of the Galaxy Note 2 from an online retailer like expansys or Newegg.
You looking at the same amount of money but you'll have the huge advantage of getting updates months ahead of anybody with a carrier branded model. I am already running Android 4.1.2 & have had multi Window since day 1, where carrier branded models are just getting multi Window & won't see Android 4.1.2 for a month or more.
It is an HSPA+ model without LTE but you don't want LTE anyways right now especially if your not in an area with LTE coverage. The big downfall of LTE is its a major battery hog & after doing some tests between the 2 LTE cuts your battery life nearly in half of that of the HSPA+ model. It really isn't worth getting a Web page a second or two faster when you can only use your device for half the time before needing to recharge.
I've convinced a few ppl to go this way & they all say they are so happy they did.

Since the international model is already unlocked you just have to pop in a Koodo Micro SIM & away you go.
You might have to unlock the Telus Galaxy Note 2 so your looking at another $30 or so if you go that way so the model I'm suggesting is probably actually cheaper.

Actually cheaper, some carriers will not let you purchase the device outright without paying for a least a month of service... Plus expansys and newegg regularly have free shipping and specials on the device.

Speed test won't work unless you delete the proxy setting in your koodo APN settings

I'll check next month, I'm at my limit for data & speed test takes a pretty large amount of data to do. What are you getting?
