I was looking to purchasing a new iPhone 6s plus, it shows retail price without a tab is $1,055 and with a tab it is -$21 and -$504 so the total would be $530 for 24 months; what Im confused about how much is it do I pay the $530 for 24 months and then its mine or can I pay it outright and have the iPhone be mine? Or am I paying the $504 + $530 on a 24 month period which totals the outright price?

My whole thing is am I paying the whole outright price in payments or is it just the $530 + tax and its mine?

You're paying $530 initially, then an additional $21/month to your regular bill amount for 24 months.

$530 up front + $21x24 = $1034

The listed retail price is $1055, which makes sense if you apply the activation credit they list of $21 which takes the price down to $1034.

Thank you, I wish it was just the price shown aka the $530 up front since its like going on a contract but month to month; I suggested to Koodo on twitter they should do contracts like other companies so you not paying for the phones outright. But I guess its good for some but others like me not so much because I can just afford the bill I have now lol

In addition to the 21$, you're also going to have to choose a tab plus plan. Which are expensive. You can avoid this by paying more up front and financing 360$ over 24 months. So 15$.

The interesting thing about the way koodo works is that unlike those other contract companies, once you're done paying for the phone your tab costs drop off and you're only paying for your service. With other companies, even after the phone is paid for, your still on the hook at the same rate. It's way more transparent this way.

Koodo used to subsidize devices the way you're talking about but in April of this year they changed to this way.

Me too. I'd rather koodo pay for them.

I know you're probably into the iPhone ecosystem and all but there are some really great Android devices out there that have all the great features at way less. I can solidly recommend the Moto X Play, and the Galaxy S4

And although I haven't used the latest generation Moto G, I did use the original and it was great.

There are options if the iPhone price is too much.

Oh and you can always hit up Kijiji and get the next best used iPhone and bring it to Koodo.

Just check the IMEI first at http://www.protectyourdata.ca before you buy.
