Tablet linked/coexisting to clients existing Kodo Cellular Phone/Data plans

It would be awesome if Kodo would allow tablets (ex: iPad) to coexist with client's existing Cellular/Data Plans on the same plan. i.e; Unlimited Canada Wide/2 GB Data. Its far easier to view MapQuest while being directionally challenged on a tablet than scrubbing through an android, without readers. Other providers have hopped on the band wagon, and I'd like to see Kodo lead the pack. They get to market an additional simm and ensure customer loyalty, while possibly securing tablet sales. FYi- Can't envision making a call on a tablet. Its about ease of data acquisition/manipulation for the subscriber. After all, aren't they the ones the pay the bill.

A tablet is not a cell phone.

It would cost way too much money to implement this.

Koodo is a discount carrier. Do not expect them to have all the bells and whistles that other providers have. This is not a need, this is a want. Koodo only sticks to needs.

If your phone supports Wireless Hotspot then you can just use that...

I'd like to see an add on to share data as well. It's far more convenient to have always on data on a tablet then to setup hotspot. Besides, Hotspot drains battery at an extraordinary rate. I see the big 3 have a 5 dollar a month (for the first 12 months).
Tablet share is one of the few things I missed from Bell before I switched to Koodo.

Setting up a hotspot doesnt take ant more battery than using wifi or data connection and is as simple as one click. Also if you plan on having a smartphone and tablet then its much cheaper to use a wifi tablet over a hotspot from your phone than to buy a 3g capable tablet, which will cost you on average of an extra $100 over the wifi model.

Paul, using Hotspot does take extra power, and quite abit more. As someone who frequently tethers with various phones, they all get quite hot and drain quickly. Bluetooth tether takes much less power, but the disadvantages is point to point (one device to one device) and about a 1.5MBps cap in speed.

I took a screencap of my phone that warns me when I enable Hotspot to plug the device in. I'll have to post it in a top-level reply since the embedded reply does not allow.

I respect your position on this, with the added monthly cost and the additional upfront purchase price, but please respect ours. This is something we see value in Koodo offering.
