Hello, I have the super 6gb promo plan from last August 2012 and I've noticed that I can pay off my tab on the self serve website and it will be charged to my next bill. If i did that would that affect my plan in any way? Also if I got a new phone when I pay it all off, will I lose my promo plan? I would really love to keep it, it's the reason I switched from Rogers.

As long as you get your new phone on the medium tab. Up to $300 off for the phone. Keep in mind a tab charge for $5 would apply to help you pay off your tab within 24 months. Oh and I forgot to mention plus 15% of your bill goes towards your tab too! So what do you got to lose! Upgrade today! :oD

As long as your plan is over 30$ a month you can keep your plan with tab small or tab medium or no tab

If you take Tab Large you cannot keep your plan. Btw you can get a new phone without paying off your tab you just will pay the difference.

The tab is an interest and payment free loan. There's really no reason to pay it off unless you're switching tab values to a higher value.

Hi Chad, customers must pay off their tabs before upgrading now. This is why they can ask to pay it on the bill via Self Serve or it can be done in a Koodo store. It's been implemented a few weeks ago :) Thank you!

If you see a good answer, give it a star.

Essentially, you will not lose your current plan unless you choose to switch to another plan. Koodo will not revoke your plan under any circumstances unless you permit them.

It's possible that you may have to take a certain plan to qualify for a bigger phone subsidy or be able get a certain calling feature, but it would be up to you to decide whether it is worth it to switch plans in that case. But in all cases, you always have the choice to stay on your current plan.
