TAB saving?

Hi I do not understand what saving TAB can bring. For example for a LG X power phone costing $240 retail price, you have to pay $15 monthly tab charge in addition to the $25 plan over 2 years. So the cost of the phone is actually $360 in additional to the monthly plan charge of $25. FYI, I have not figured out how TAB works. From what I have read it is only spreading out the full payment of the phone in monthly payments. The only benefit is that you do not have to pay one big chunk right in front. Correct?

You pay at 15 a month until it's paid off for thag phone. Sometimes it's a lower amount over 24 months but it seems that Koodo is shifting to 15 until paid off. So 240/15 = 16 months an then you're back to just the plan amount. That's right the tab is basically an interest free loan but sometimes there are sales via the tab where you pay less for for phone or there's a small discount like 360 for th Moto g4 plus instead of the outright price of 410.

I believe that tab charge will divided by 24 month.
You can put up to $360 for the tab and pay a different upfront.

So, if the phone/Tab cost $240 then monthly tab charge will be $10/mo.(unless they change their tab system again)

The wording is actually incredibly confusing "Pay a $15 monthly Tab charge for 24 months until your Tab balance reaches zero, and then you'll only pay your monthly plan charge." taken from the site for the power x, a 240 dollar phone outright. But I go with 15 for 16 months a it ends with "until your tab balance reaches zero."

I brought this to their attentions.
I don't like their new look of phone page. It confusing many people.

There's also sometimes extra incentives like gift cards from retailers for signing up on Tab. BYOD should be the way to go but the carriers make that difficult in Canada.
