I have a question regarding koodo tab. I am currently koodo customer on $40 6gb plan(ported over from public mobile) with my own phone. I am considering in getting the lg v30 on medium tab (if i'm eligible?).

From the info above, I notice they have $300 activation credits, what exactly the amount that i will have to pay upon ordering?

Thanks in advance!

You will have to pay $370.00 up front and then $360.00 on your tab.

Yes just use tab small. You will pay a little more down but same price in the end. You have a very good plan. You dont want to give that up just to get a medium tab.

The 6GB public plan is available for tab medium so you can go ahead and get the phone with that if you wish:)

Currently you need to have a 45 dollar plan to qualify for medium tab outside of QC. I cannot recall ifnits still 35 for QC or if it also went up. You can try anyways to see if the system will take it but ibdoubt it. You can just use tab small. It's the same total amount.

hi xnuorg,
The plan $40 6gb (porting from PM) does qualify for medium Tab, you could try to add the phone to the cart and check out.

One off topic question, if I get the phone via tab now, is the phone unlocked or locked to koodo? Thx

So, i placed the order on medium tab. On the page before i was given the order number, i saw it includes sim card among the items. Does it mean once i receive the phone, i will have to use the new sim card or i can use the existing sim card that i'm using right now?
Thanks.

It was a little more concerning as if you can get into someone's account and change the sim, you have access to their plan and can rack up quite a bill.

true that, they could have just opt to send a confirmation code via email or text (in case of someone switching device and need a different SIM size) to double check the ID

@TJ yeah or even have 2-factor authentication on the self-serve login.  Mind you.... SMS-based probably wouldn't be great because if you're in a situation of needing to change your SIM, you'll likely be unable to retrieve on the current SIM card.  But Google Authenticator codes could be used, for example.

Lots of folks have trouble responding to an email link to finalize setting up self-serve, or to access a PDF invoice. I can imagine the difficulties of getting them to set up two-factor authentication.
