I'm currently with bell mobility and I am unhappy and wanting to switch to koodo. I was told that koodo buys out contracts and i was wondering if that were true, and if so if I could have additional information about doing that.

That is absolutely not true. Sorry for the misinformation.

If switching, you need to give Bell 30 days notice. If porting your number, the 30 days start from the time of the request. And you will be paying Bell during those 30 days.

You don't have to give anyone 30 days notice. You can cancel anytime. You don't even have to call bell, koodo will do everything for you.

Hi there... Ahmad is right, there is not such a thing as buying out contracts with Koodo, and to complement the comment from Voyager, if you are in Quebec, at the moment you port your number to Koodo, Bell has to cancel your line as well, they do not have the right to charge you those 30 additonal days due to Bill 60 in Quebec
