Switching from monthly to prepaid- what gives?

I am trying to switch my koodo phone from monthly to prepaid and keep the same number. I start doing that online and it asks for authorization. Like Is this authorized and who gave the authorization. I've been putting my own name but it doesn't like that and tells me to call customer service. I don't want to pay a fee for calling customer service. Any ideas???

Your # needs to be ported from monthly to prepaid and as far as I know only koodo customer service or a kiosk can do this for you which is probably why it's telling you to call customer service.

I've done this, and after great help from Koodo, it's easy, and can be done all online.
Under the Koodo Mobile Home page. You'll see an option on the Phones menu ...Accessories, and when you choose it buy your new prepaid sim card(correct size). And order it for delivery. If there are any requsests for personal information, Select NEW ACCOUNT!!!(or NEW CUSTOMER)

Koodo will mail you the new SIM card. now
Step 2.
Make sure you've got your OLD Account #. Because when you proceed to register your new SIM card and install it into you cell phone, you'll be able to give that info so you can transfer your phone # to your new cell phone. When you turn your cell phone back on with the new prepaid SIM card. Everything will work.
