Switching from Rogers to Koodo, online order questions.

As a new customer, if I buy a new phone and a plan, the plan doesn't start until I receive the phone and activate the sim in the new phone  after I have ported my old number from Rogers to Koodo?

If ordering from the web store, I believe that your SIM will be activated at the time of shipment, meaning that you should be able to use it right out of the box. You would then request to port your Rogers number. If you were to request a port at the time of your order, your Rogers line would be cancelled before you'd get your hands on your new device and SIM card.
