Switching from pre-paid to monthly plan help

I switched from a pre paid to monthly plan. I cannot register a monthly plan account with the email I provided at the Koodo kiosk because it is already in use for my pre-paid plan. What do I do? Also can I carry over my unused balance from pre-paid to my monthly plan?
