I am interested in switching my son's account from a plan to a prepaid account/phone. How do I go about doing this? Do I need to cancel the account first, then purchase his new prepaid phone and set it up? Thanks in advance!
Do not close the postpaid account yet. Activate the prepaid phone. When you log in to prepaid self-serve there is an option to port an existing number. It's under Base Plan & Boosters > Change Phone Number. When you select "Transfer a wireless or wireline number from Koodo or another provider" it will ask you for that number. Koodo will take care of closing the postpaid account and will send you a bill with the final charges.
