so i just took the sim card out of my old koodo phone that has a broken screen and put it into another phone that was previously used on koodo. and it was working fine for a few days. now all of the sudden it says "your phone is not activated on the network" it is not a billing issue as i am on the 200 dollar cap thing. and it worked before. can someone please give me insight on what to do to fix this.

Not sure how the fact that you are on a spending cap means it's not a billing issue, but we can help you better if you actually tell us what kind of phone you have.

it can't be a billing issue because of the spending cap which is maximum 200 dollars and i have no reached that cap yet, therefore if it is a billing issue and they cut my phone off for some reason it would not make sense as i am not over my limit yet. and its an "LG GW520 white"

You have been making payments on time, right? Because the account can still be suspended for late payments even if you're well below the $200 spending cap.

as a matter of fact no i havn't payed it up yet as i have no job at the moment and im working on paying the bill off this week in full. i thought with the 200 dollar ccap thing they could not cut the phone off until it hit the 200 dollar point. thus why i got that plan for my phone because i was not able to pay monthly at the time. i guess this could be one part of the issue. i will have to check into it. but what doesn;t make sense is it was working fine for a few days after i transferred the sim card to the other phone, and then all the sudden later in the day it just stopped working. for sending texts and then a few days after the texting stopped working so did the phone calls.

Spending Cap shouldn't matter provided you're not above or too near the cap.

Out of curiosity, what was your old phone & what;s your new one?

my old phone was a samsung galaxy ace, and my new one that i moved the sim card over to is an LG gw520 white.

as i have stated above. when i moved the sim card to the new phone it worked for a few days and then the texting stopped working, i could not send nor recieve texts from anyone. then the next day my calling stopped working aswell and now i can't use the phone at all.

Actually, it does sound like a billing issue. If the account gets suspended for late payment the texting will stop working first (simply shut off internally). Once the phone loses it's connection to the network it will no longer be able to reconnect, which would explain why it still worked for a while after texting stopped.
