Switched providers to Koodo, and now some people cannot send me texts

So I recently switched providers from Eastlink Mobile to Koodo in Nova Scotia, and ever since I did, some people cannot send me texts.  I can text them, and they receive my texts, but they cannot send to me.  I checked the self serve usage, and their responses aren't even registering on the network, so it's not just my phone blocking/not showing me the texts.  I have a Samsung S7 and it's the phone I brought with me from Eastlink.

Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, was there anything done to solve it?

hi Dave,
When did you switch to Koodo? were there any common between the senders? (what were their phone types, network?) I would try to reset network settings and restart the phone (it might not help anything, but just to make sure everything else was setup ok).

I would also try to update your software (if any), there was some reports of missing texts on T-Mobile network with Samsung phones. Still, I am not sure if it was an issue of software or network. https://support.t-mobile.com/thread/141853

Hi Dinh,

We made the switch on February 16th.  I am not sure of the provider of the people that are trying to text me.  My phone is updated to the current version OS.

I am not sure that it is something to do with the phone, because when I go to check my usage on koodo's self serve, it is not even showing that they texted me at all, though I know they have because they showed me screenshots over facebook messenger.  So it seems to be a network issue more than a phone issue.

I am going to try to call koodo again and see if I can reach someone that can help me, but I was just hoping that maybe someone here has had the same problem and knew the answer already.

There were reports of missing texts with S8 reported here: https://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-galaxy-s8-missing-texts-problem-issue-805656/
They didn't know the exact cause though. I meant if you can, just try to update the software. You could also ask Koodo if they see the missing text on their end? (but you didn't see it on your phone). You need to good example of it (date sent from other end, but you didn't see it on yours).

It sounds like a port issue.  Contacting Koodo is the right move as they will need to investigate the port
