Switch from monthly to prepaid

I'm planning on switching my sons from Koodo monthly to prepaid. I've already purchased the prepaid sims. I noticed their monthly plan cycle rolled over on Dec 6th - do I have to wait until the end of this cycle or can I port them to prepaid now? Will their monthly bill be prorated?

Also, does anyone know when the prepaid double boosters special expires? I want to pay off their phone tabs and set them up with prepaid boosters as a Christmas present but wondering if I should do it now in case the special expires before Christmas.

Thanks :)

I was just concerned that porting one number over would cancel the whole account, before I got a chance to port the 2nd number over.

Out of curiousity, can I activate the prepaid sims with a new number and then after Christmas port their numbers over?

You shouldn't have any problems... but yes you can activate it with any number you want, and then port over the number when ready. At least that way you'll be able to grab the double boosters!

I'm confused
I have 2 phones on Kodo now. all I want to do is switch from monthly to prepaid - but I have no idea about sim card serial numbers etc.  Is this information not already on file with you?

You need to buy 2 prepaid Koodo SIM cards, activate them online, port your numbers over (If you wish to keep the same ones), and then cancel your postpaid accounts (If you chose to not port your numbers. If you did port, the postpaid account will automatically cancel).

If not minutes were used then you are good to port them over now if you want.

The double booster promo is for a limited time with no indication of when it may end.  Meaning it could end at any time.  There is a small risk if you wanted to wait and see what happens
