Swapping phones.

Broke my phone, girlfriend has an old one I want to put my SIM card in and use. Went to the Change Phone tab in self serve and I'm being told that my SIM card is invalid despite being in use a few days ago before I broke my phone. What do I need to do in order to change phones, preferably without needing to call because at the moment I don't have access to a phone. Thanks!

That's because you're trying to register your same sim card twice. All you need to do is pop in your sim into your gf's old phone and it should work. If the sim doesn't fit, you can get a new one for $10 on postpaid or $20 on prepaid. Then register the new sim in self serve.

Hmm.. Ok, if the SIM card does fit, but the phone doesn't work, would that be an indication that the reason it's not working is that her phone (an HTC One V) would need to be unlocked perhaps?

Yep usually that's the case. Do you know if her HTC One V is locked to koodo? You can also buy unlock codes online from cellunlocker.net or gsmliberty or many other sites, just make sure they are reputable if you do decide to do this.
