My husband and I are on a month to month plan. Can I call forward my phone and then suspend for the time we are travelling and then just use his phone?

If you put your phone on seasonal hold it locks down everything so no. Be aware it costs 15 a month and you lose your plan if it's grandfathered as you will have to pick a then in market plan.

If you are prepared to suspend your phone, and accept that you will need to choose from a current plan on your return, you could choose the cheapest plan, and call forwarding add on, and manage it in that manner.

There is no "seasonal hold" on prepaid. Just make sure to NOT renew your baseplan at the due date. Your line will be deactivated and your minutes/data booster balances will be available for up to 90 days until you renew the base plan.

Never had any success getting call forwarding to work on prepaid even if the account was active and in good standing.

If you do decide to maintain your service, you can only roam as far as the US, and that will require roaming boosters that must be purchased separately. Nothing available overseas on prepaid.
