I will be living in the US for the summer and wish to keep my phone number for when I return in August. Will I be able to just stop paying or do I have to contact koodo to let them know that I want my same number in August, I just don't need it over the summer.

I don't think you can put a seasonal hold on your account prepaid. If ur account fails to be active. They can cancel it and u will Lose your number. However I believe it is 90 days. All u would have to do to be sure u don't lose it is put the smallest amount of money on your phone to ensure your service stays active.

Best of luck.

Once your baseplan runs out, you will have no service. BUT, you have 90 days after your monthly baseplan runs out to make a payment to avoid your account being cancelled and your number and boosters forfeited.

So set yourself up reminders on your calendar that 85 days after your current baseplan runs out, to do a top-up with the same baseplan to preserve your boosters. You will then have 30 days of service.

As the shampoo bottle says, repeat as necessary.
