If you want anyone to take you seriously you should provide more details... What fees are you referring to? There are some fees that appear hidden (charged twice on the first bill at pro-rated rate for example) that have a logical explanation. As it stands you have only this post since connecting with the community and there isn't much to say other than you appear angry.

I love Koodo because I've never had any issues with hidden fees. I switched to them 8 months ago and my bill is the same amount EVERY month

Proration is not a "hidden" fee. It is what you are bill for the time period you had the plan before your first bill. Granted, the agent should have gave you a heads up about it. That's for sure.

EDIT: The only fees I would, personally, consider to be "hidden" are the premium messaging fees if your phone somehow got set up with daily horoscopes, quizzes, facts, surveys, etc, without your knowledge.

To switch to another company I had to pay an extra month's fees... on a $40.00 monthly plan my bill, arriving today, was over $60.00. Included was $5.00 for, and I am quoting, "OTHER SERVICES." You employees of Koodo who write defensive answers can post how that phrase is NOT a complete ripoff??

Just to be clear for the brain dead... What 'services' are 'other'??

If you have questions about YOUR bill, please create a new topic. There is no need to put in responses to a 9 month old topic.

What the heck, dude? I've been using Koodo for seven months, with identical bills - It's definitely one of the things I like about this carrier!

over a year using koodo, loving it...never had a discrepancy in my bill either...same amount, every month...please explain yourself :)
On my bill a few times they have charged me double for data that hasnt been used at all. And ive had to call and correct them. As well as they say after 5 was free and before they were billin me per second. So i stopped doing automatic payments and started paying closer atttention

This sounds like more of a billing problem than hidden fees. What kind of phone do you have? Sometimes there is background data used if you have an Android phone. It's not really Koodo that does this, it's the way the phone works. There are ways to completely turn off data either on the phone side or on Koodo side. The advantage to turning it off at the phone is it can be turned back on if you want to use data.

Billing by the second was removed quite a while ago. If you changed your plan this would have changed to per minute billing but you wouldn't be forced to change your plan if you had a per second plan (afaik). Still not thrilled they changed from per second to per minute but I like the $45 plan they had with double minutes and double data. It also has free after 5pm and this works just fine as far as I can tell.

I use automatic payments but I have a look at the bill any time there is a different amount than the previous month ... So far that has never happened.

From what you mentioned, none of those are hidden fees. Just wanted to make that clear. Aside from that, Moonmack is correct

My only bill issues was when my mom was taking her phone to be fixed the Koodo staff tested her WAP internet and used 0.05MB of data resulting in a $5 charge. But I was able to call and get that reversed right away. I think Data Leakage is the biggest reason for surprise charges due to unexpected use. I think this responsiblity lies solely with cellphone software. I wish they all had a toggle for MMS data on/off and Regular data on/off.

And as Moonmack said, only if you changed your plan would you have lost per second billing or any other features.

I sympathize with you regarding billing errors, but at least that's something you can dispute with Koodo. Hidden fees (like Bell's now notorious 911 fee) are non-disputable.

Noob, I'm not clear on your logic here... your response to someone having odd and/or unexpected charges is that you don't have any problems? Can you offer what your 'uniform' monthly bill is? How much are you paying each month for this great, uniform swrvice?

James, you really don't need to revive a 9 months old topic :) Please start your own thread to voice your grievances, thanks :)

Sign into self serve, click on billing, then e-bill, select the most recent bill and scroll to page 3. It will tell you EXACTLY what the other charges are. Failing that, you will need to call Koodo and ASK what the fees are. All you are doing here is insulting other customers.
