Still have old number after porting

Last night I ported my number over from public mobile and was told the mixed services would last a Max of 4 hours meaning after 4 hours my phone should be using my desired phone number. I woke up this morning and it still has the old number from Koodo and the number didn't not transfer over even though my account says it did. Anyone have any ideas or have had this happen before?

Are inbound calls just not getting routed to the koodo phone or does the new number not show up when you make outbound calls either? In any case you would need to speak with Koodo directly, either by phone or Facebook messenger, to resolve any errors, but you can try rebooting the phone first to see if something just didn't update yet.

Inbound and outbound both show the incorrect number, when I try to call the correct number it doesn't go through. I tried rebooting the phone a couple times but it didn't work.

The routing of incoming calls can take a little while to process, but outbound calls should show the ported number immediately. As I said before though, you'll need to contact koodo directly to find out what went wrong.

also I recommend you do a power cycle on both devices. Most of the time both system need to re-register on the network and the power cycle force it to happen. It will generate a virtual "release and catch" of your number.

A power cycle without any SIM inserted should flush any residual values the phone may have lurking. Restart with SIM inserted should result in a completely new connection.
