Do you not know when you signed up and are trying to find out when that was?

You will need a warrant or court order in order to retrieve those texts

Texts are not kept forever. From other conversations, possibly up to 3 months, so August texts are very unlikely to still exist.

Are you referring to your billing cycle?

I ordered my phone online and it was shipped to me. It was 10 days before Christmas and was supposed to be a Christmas present. I didn't put the sim card in until it was ready to be used yet my account states my usage start date is the day I ordered it???!!!! Really? Is this "start date" scam how they are staying in business? It sat unknowingly to me, active.... even tho I didn't activate it for another few days under the tree until it was opened and activated. Yet I had to pay for the days it spent in transit for shipping and the days it sat under the Christmas tree. With koodo at least on my phone you set up how far back you want the phone to save messages. You have to go into settings and choose the number of texts to keep before the phone deletes old ones or select keep all or whatever.

It is actually the date shipped, and Koodo needs to choose some point to activate your SIM, else it would not work when inserted. It makes absolutely no sense to have hundreds of people calling in to activate their recently received phone, when it can be done as part of the shipping process.
