Special incentives to customers that switch to Telus

I can't really see this applying to me personally, but as some people want to switch to a "full service provider", there should be an incentive for that customer to choose TELUS vs. Rogers/Bell. After all, is it not better to have said customer stay within the TELUS umbrella?

So what could be these incentives? At the bare minimum, providing an unlock solution free of charge could be a good start. To prevent abuse, the unlock can be completed at the TELUS end while activating the account.

Maybe some sort of port-in bill credits or a discounted rate plan for X months, too.

Or Koodo should pay for Telus contracts when they decide to move over!

I'm not against this being a 2-way street, but I'm not suggesting the company buys out contracts, just port them over along with the number.

If I remember correctly I think this already happens. Its usually just for select customers where it makes sense for them to switch over to telus due to plan size limitations or something along those lines. And usually I believe they would get a letter about switching and would get something like a $100 credit or something.

I was talking more along the lines of a general policy. A customer may receive an offer from Rogers/Bell before the Telus offer ever comes in.
