Why am i getting spam text messages and phone calls. And also getting messages from people who think im someone else.

Do you people sell our phone numbers and do you recycle phone numbers. Im a new customer and havent given my number out yet i get telemarketers calling me and people who keep thinking im someone else.

Koodo does not sell their numbers, but it's possible that your number was previously someone else's.

For any calls you get, just request to have your number added to their Do Not Call list & for text messages, text the word STOP.

Hmm You may want to change your number in selfserve.

ALL providers recycle phone numbers. There is a limited supply of usable numbers and a vast number of people who require them. If every phone number was one time use only we would run out of numbers in no time.

Check your phones settings in your text app and dialing app as some phones have a built in feature to add #'s to block text and/or calls.
If you don't have the feature built in to the phone then there are many apps to give your phone these call & text blocking abilities, just search your respective app store for your specific OS.

It wouldn't be a new phone AND a new number, it would be a new phone OR a new number.

You can change your number in selfserve. It only takes about 15 minutes.
