Southwest Vancouver Island is NOT in the United States!

I was charged 16 cents on my August bill for US roaming charges. I DID NOT travel to the United States. I live in Victoria, and sometimes when I travel out to the west coast of Vancouver Island (BELOW THE 49th parallel, as all of lower Vancouver Island is) I get a message "Welcome to the US". I never use my phone in those places, although I am not in the US, I am still on Vancouver Island. Surely with modern technology you can tell where I am at any time and you can see that I am still on Vancouver Island and SHOULD NOT be charged US roaming charges. Seems simple to me.

Juste give them a call and the charge will be reversed. But to make sure this happens, disable automatic searching for networks. Because even if Koodo could track you 24h/24h they do not track no one because of privacy. If your cell connects to a N American tower, then Koodo will charge you as if you were in America.
