You'll have to take a trip into the local Koodo store to validate ID and do a small credit check.

Pick and phone and plan and done!

Odd, my system prompts one every time when I activate additional phones. Always assumed it was checking the account for any issues.

Incorrect. The account always has a credit check done. The check done on an existing account is typically of current credit history on that account.

If you pay your bills on time you're most likely fine.

If you have an outstanding bill or delinquent payment history you may not be eligible for that second line. Regardless of "pre approval"

You can most certainly call to find out if you're able to add an additional line. You will have to go to the store afterwards to have the process done.

Are you referring to what I said as incorrect? Because what I said was what I went through and they did not preform a second credit bureau check (I check both credit bureau regularly) and I got a text message from koodo after 3 weeks of having my one line on a spending cap (bill wasn't even payed yet) stating I was preapproved for a second line. Went in in store got my 2nd line with tab medium and off I went.

Like I said, it's not a full credit check.

I sell Koodo phones for a living I'm well aware of the process in getting a new phone. A credit check would have been done on your line when you went in. As I stated before its a check of credit history on your account, done internally by Koodo.

Thanks for the information . I would like to find out before I go into a store if I am eligible or not is there a way of doing this?. I have had no late payments with koodo ever.
