Someone called me saying they were from Koodo and offered me an additional 1GB of data a month for $10. They wanted my PIN and information. Is this legit or a fraud?

Sounds a little fishy to me. Generally when you receive offers you will get them via text, or find them when you login to self serve.
If you ever get a call like that ask them to answer some questions to prove themselves. How much was my last bill, whats the name on the account, etc. Let them tell you information rather than you give them it.

Okay, thanks! That's what I thought too so I didn't give them any information.. They have been calling me for about 6 months now trying to get me to "agree".

Koodo does not need your PIN, except in instances where YOU initiate a call in order that you identify yourself to the Customer Service Representative.
I'd mark this one as a SCAM!

Koodo is also more likely to text offers to you as well.

If they call you, they still don't know exactly who they are talking to, so they can ask for the PIN to make any changes to the account. The problem here is someone claiming to be calling from Koodo, whether they ask for any information or not. Why would a company that charges customers to call them call the customers for free? They wouldn't.

Koodo doesnt charge you to call them. Koodo charges you for them to perform a task that you can easily do yourself. (Change your plan, phone number, etc.)

This is a scam, Koodo would like to text you and let you know if you are interested in this program or not.a Scam don't do it.

Hello Amanda,

What was the number you received the call from?

I got a call last summer from someone (after receiving a text) and it was legit. Got a 1gb add on for $5 a month. I still have it. I just got a text with another add on offer as well, but it's the $10 for 1gb offer so not as good for me
