Well these are Koodo's monthly plans:
https://shop.koodomobile.com/plans/pl...

which require a credit check

And these are Koodo's prepaid plans:

no credit check required.

If you are only going to be staying in Canada for 6 months, I suggest looking at prepaid more. Boosters don't ever expire as long as you renew your base plan ever month. So if you don't use all your minutes, they 'rollover' to the next month as long as the base plan is renewed.

Hi Terry, yes, you can suspend your plan, this would be $15 per month just to keep your number.

However if you go the prepaid route, you'd "only" need to renew your plan within 90 days of expiry, making it once every 120 days. This would probably your cheapest option... you'd probably only need to renew it once while you're away.

Basicly , you don't have a snowbird plan . This morning at Walmart after a call by the store clerk to Koodo , the suspension fee was $10 a month .

As i do some travelling during the summer , the prepaid route appears to be more expensive with the high cost of long distance .

Thank you for your response

Terry
