since the large outage I have had little service, almost always no service here in my home in Tidnish Bridge, Nova Scotia

Ok try going into your settings - More - Mobile Networks - Network Operators - Search Networks and let it search for towers in your area this will take 30 seconds to a minute or so. When a list pops up select Koodo.

You can also try turning your network mode to WCDMA ONLY and see if that increases your reception which it should.

Koodo doesn't come up as a network, just an EXT, and I can't register to that 1 and switching to wcdma didn't help

I'll find out of Koodo's still working on some towers out there or something and get back to you unless they respond here first.

Just got word back there are no towers still being worked on in the area. If you phone has a removable battery then while the device is on take out the battery and SIM Card then reinsert and try again. If you don't have a removable battery then power down the device and take out he SIM Card for a minute then replace it and try tbr phone again.
If you've done this try resetting your network settings.
Last option is to give tech support a call about the issue.
