Hi, I'm an American traveling to Alberta next month (to visit your fine distilleries). I'll be in Canada for about a week, and I wanted to get a SIM card for my unlocked HTC Inspire so I can make calls, text, check email, and use the Web. Is there any way to have a card sent to me in the U.S. so I'm ready to go when I land in Calgary, or is there a place to get a card in the airport? Thanks!

At Calgary airport there are limited options. But there are many malls/stores nearby.

For a Koodo sim, I would try the Walmart at Deerfoot mall which about 5 mins south or 5 mins north at the Kiosk at Cross Iron mills (by the Indigo entrance)

I'm going to be on foot, taking a cab to my hotel downtown (which hotel, I'm not sure of yet). Do they sell the cards in drugstores, and what do I have to do: buy one, and then buy service for it, or do they come pre-filled? Is there an activation process? That's what I'd rather avoid if I can...

You can use the store locator to locate a kiosk or a retailer to pick up a sim card. I would recommend prepaid in your case.
