I bought a new phone that required a different sim card. I sold my old phone but forgot to take out my old sim card. Is my account still linked to that other sim card? If so, how do I deactivate it? My husband also bought a new phone with a new sim card but some text messages were still going to the old phone. If the old one is deactivate once the new one is activated, is there a lag time? Thanks!

Hi Janelle,

If you have a new SIM card ready, the easiest way is to immediately activate the new SIM and all your messages will go to your new card :) Your old card will be deactivated as soon as the new one is active!

There shouldn't be a lag. Maybe he forgot to deactivate services like iMessage and this is why some text still got sent on the other phone?
