sim not working

i got a sim card today and a $20 add on and got a phone # when my accountt was verified. now after several hours my phone still isnt working and when i go intoi my settings "about phone" it says my network is bell and my mobile network type is "unknown" but when i bought the sim card today the salesman put it in and said yes it is ok with koodo my # is n226-5819925

Did you activate the SIM? what did it say in your selfserve? Was your phone unlocked?

If you still have an account with Bell, you are entitled to have it unlocked for free. If about my phone says Bell, it probably hasn't already been done.
