SIM not valid

I bought a new SIM for a prepaid plan as I was paying $ 34.50 at the beginning of every month which had to be a postpaid, now when I wanted to correct it and start a real prepaid I had to get a new SIM but when I was activating it online I was getting the answer 'the SIM number you entered is not valid.' I wonder why it happens if I bought this SIM from a Koodo dealer?

When you place the sim in your phone, does it work?

You may need to go back to the store if the sim is defective

The prepaid and postpaid activation sites are completely different.

Prepaid:  https://activateprepaid.koodomobile.com/

One will not accept the SIM numbers from the other. The dealer may have sold you the wrong SIM? The prepaid ones are hard to find outside of Koodo boutiques and clearly have prepaid on them. The correct price would be $20 plus tax.
